When you attend a class or a private lesson, you will need to bring some things, depending on the session.
β’ A semi-automatic handgun or AR15 rifle (CTS has firearms that you can use for a $40 maintenance fee if needed).
β’ At least 350 rounds of ammunition are recommended for classes. 100 to 200 for Private Sessions.
β’ A belt that can properly hold your holster and magazines. A range belt can be used but you can also use a normal belt that can be tightened so that it is not loose.
β’ A Kydex-style holster made to fit your firearm. This must be a rigid holster that will not collapse when the firearm is not in it. The holster can be outside the waist on a belt or inside the waist for concealment from a side or appendix position. No Serpa holsters or any other holster that requires your trigger finger to negotiate a retention button will be allowed.
β’ 3 ammunition magazines for your firearm.
β’ Ear and eye protection.
β’ A hat is recommended but only required for rifle shooting.
β’ Enough water and food to get you through the class/session. For classes, there will be a break for lunch, however, there may not be time to leave to get something from another location.
β’ Sunscreen.
β’ Bug spray.
β’ Inclement weather clothing.
β’ Any medical items you may need such as medications.
